A Standardised Withania somnifera Extract Significantly Reduces Stress-Related Parameters in Chronically Stressed Humans: A Double-Blind, Randomised, Placebo-Controlled Study.
In this study in the Journal of American Nutrition Association, researchers explored the effects of Sensoril, an ashwaganda root and leaf extract, in chronically stressed humans in a modern clinical trial. Consumption of 125 mg/day of Sensoril resulted in significant improvement of mHAM-A scores for stress and anxiety by a reduction of 62% in overall everyday stress. Participants also experienced improvement in a reduction of stress biomarkers, including serum cortisol and C-reactive protein (CRP) compared to baseline when consuming Sensoril.
Effect of standardised aqueous extract Withania somnifera on tests of cognitive and psychomotor performance in healthy human participants.
In this study in the publication of Pharmacognosy Research, researchers evaluated the cognitive and psychomotor performances in healthy adults. Consumption of 500 mg BID of Sensoril resulted in significant improvements in reaction times for psychomotor tests compared to baseline and placebo. This research shows that Sensoril may improve mental stamina, including enhancing focus and the ability to concentrate.
Effect of Withania somnifera extract on mental stress induced changes in hemodynamic properties and arterial wave reflections in healthy subjects.
In this study in the publication of, Current Topics in Nutraceutical Research, researchers evaluated the brachial blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), and arterial stiffness while performing mental stress tests in healthy participants. Consumption of 500 mg BID of Sensoril resulted in study participants experiencing a significant decrease in the mental stress induced changes on aortic pressure and augmentation index compared to baseline and placebo.
